Which Country is Best for Wife With Rare Disease?

Catherine Todd

Well, I'll be... I live in Panajachel at Lake Atitlan, and was able to meet Mom Graham - your wonderful mother! So glad to find out that I am living in one of the best places for someone that is sick, as I have chronic fatigue / lyme / fibromyalgia and need a tuc-tuc and a lot of full time care. It's always been very easy and affordable for me to live at lovely Lake Atitlan, and I was wondering if there were other places I could go. Glad to find out I picked a good one!

Love your videos and say "Hello" to your mother for me. Hope you both come back again soon! Catherine Todd

I think Cebu in the Philippines might be a good place to consider. There are a couple pretty good hospitals in cebu. You could hire a real care giver for about 150 dollars a month to live in and take care of your wife. A smaller city north or south of Cebu could be great, - Mactan international airport in Cebu now has direct flights now to Los Angeles. One thing helpful in the Philippines is almost everyone speaks english. Your Baguio idea is good too.

i should mention too you could hire an RN there for 8000 pesos a month or less- about 175 us dollars . there is an oversupply of nurses there - many enter the profession to work overseas.
