What is This Structure on the Side of Building? What is it called?
Andy it looks like a turret.
Thank you Peter,
This building feature is called a "Turret," as I walk around in Tours, France, I can spot more, can connect the dots. And you also gave me the Wikipedia link, this is highly appreciated, I now can read more and do not stop at, "That was cool." There are so many times I am just stopped in my track, I have no way to read, or understand more about what I see. In many ways this "culture shock," the overwhelming problem of too many questions for the mind. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Culture_shock What is sad, often tourists ,and travelers need to go home, because they force themselves to be tourist everyday, and their minds are too "culturally fatigued" to continue. We will soon give stars for members, that help people to move onward from opinions to more factual by supplying Wikipedia links. Thank you, Andy Lee Grraham in Tours, France.
Hey Andy!! This is mom and I have to give you a answer that your sisters might have enjoyed when they were children. This is where they keep the kind beautiful girl so the Prince cannot fine her. Her stepsisters want him to make one of them his princess and they are rude, ugly uncaring ladies. The Prince does climb up the bricks and rescues her. He puts the glass slippers on her dainty feet and robes of silk around her shoulders. The handsome Prince declares his love. They live happily ever after.
