Travel Quiz, When is Trash Sitting Outside the Room Good?
Monica --- I think maybe you know know the answer, but sort lacking in specifics, please try again. Thanks Andy
They are respecting the fact that items left outside your room may or may not be considered garbage.
Everyone minds their own business, you and your stuff are left alone ~
Hint, it is about privacy, many of you are really close. Culturally, having anything just sitting in the haul will drive the Togolese people crazy, they are obsessed with removing this type of stuff lying around. The floor can be absolutely caked with dirty, and they will still sweep the loose debris, they sweep the gravel everywhere here, each day.
I am in one of the best room in the Hotel as normal. Never close to the road noise, far from the TV in the reception area, up a flight stairs, highly inconvenient location, which makes it quiet, serene, happy, with great crossflow ventilation. The CAVEAT is this, staff could come up here, nose around, and try to steal things. Leaving the trash for 2-3 days means they are not just nosing around, looking for ways to steal, or cause mischief. I truly depise 5 Star Hotels in New York City, I stayed in one, and they gave every theif prone culture South of the USA access to my room, first generations illegal aliens, people who are willing to break the law, are willing to break the law. There is a benefit of living in hotels with staff too lazy to even steal. I rent a space that is safe first, quiet, hotel located in perfect areas, but the varialbe is alway the staff, whether in a 5 star hotel, or minus one, there can be a peson who loves to look for a hole in the security, so he or she can steal. These folks in the Hotel Le Guide are just too lazy to steal, unless super easy, as is what 5 Star Hotels serve up on a silver platter, 30 employees, nobody knows who to blame, here we have 3, easy to spot the thieves, and all hotels have thieve, the bigger the hotel, the more theives. Learning human nature keeps us safe.
The last think we ever want it s person knowing when we leave, and enter a room. This is why I refuse to leave my keys at the reception desk. 1st it says I am goine, second you gave them the key. The danger in a Hotel is seldom the other guest, 99 percent of the time is the staff, the NEW worker.
