Andy, I think you need all the landmarks to get people to find you -- starting with the ones furthest away, large well known, recognizable buildings and then working one's way closer and closer until you get to the intersection where the statue of liberty is to mark your street, down to the numbered locations as in the numbered street addresses.
To communicate here is difficult, I tell them in a 10 word text message. The locals, even the University Students read at about a 2nd grade level, each word is painful. And, the more, the less they remember, actually I write in concepts, and often leave out prepositions, or SVP Please, Thank you, they are like noise that bothers them, as they do not function.
