Tim Asked, What do I know Being Locked Up Abroad? #prison
In Thailand the only arrest the guilty. I know because everyone "confesses" within 24 hours.
Obviously, there is a big risk for those who use/sell drugs, engage in sex tourism, work without a visa, conduct business without proper visa/permits/licenses. For those of us who are not doing any of these things or even driving cars abroad, what is the risk of being locked up?
The risks is of getting locked up is dependent on.
1. How sure they police are you have money.
2 The country of citizenship.
3. The country you are visiting.
4. What "PERCEIVED." crime you have done.
253 combinations or permutations. x 4. I have had to visit the police 2 times for taking photos, they believed I took photos of them. I for sure recommend you not take pictures of police, even though I have taken pictures of police. I am saying, do as I say, not as I do. My guess the chances of getting arrested if NOT driving a car, not a pot smoker is about 5 times more likely than in the USA. If you are worried in the USA all the time, then maybe you need to worry abroad. Yet, I think Ed said, "You will find your way." Generally, a person does not conceive, and believe he or she can do something that they cannot do. We do not take bites of things that are not possible for our abilities, or capacities. People dream of doing things they can achieve, not of thinking they are not.
