There is a powerful myth about horse statues saying there is some artist code about number of horse hoofs on the ground describing how the rider died (in battle, wounded or otherwise). Very common myth.
Truth is too many artists would have to conform for it to be true. It's not.
The size of this statue was inspiriting, I heard it cost like 18 million Euro, but then again, there is a lot of gossip in travel. And this was a constructed tourist attraction, it was just the size that made it special to me.
