Stanley a Transient Resident of Lake Atitlan Goes to Chapala Mexico #liveabroad
great video, Stanley knows how to live life
I met Stanley in Zipolete Beach, Oaxaca, Mexico about three years ago. Quite the character, claimed to have been a traveling carnival midway guy, who guessed your weight, date of birth,
all sorts of jobs with the carnvials.
Did you see how little he had for his travels? A small roller bag and a grocery shopping style two handled open bag, that was it!
No watch means no phone either I would imagine.
85 years old, on the road, WOW.
Get busy living or get busy dying!
Andy, Thanks for the video! Stanley seems like quite a character. A question: how does Lake Chapala compare to Lake Atitlan? Climate sound similar. How about quality of life? Food options? Safety? Expat community? Need for fluency in Spanish? How well do locals and gringo mesh comparatively? Natural beauty? Some people have said Panajachel has a bit of a "feel" like Key West. Certainly there are big differences but I could see what they mean. How about Lake Chapala? I'd appreciate anything you have to offer.
