People who leave the USA are normally a little angry, or very angry with the USA. Or they are wanted by the law, they are the wanted, and the unwanted.
Remember Expats Wanted and Unwanted
hmm... well, I'm not an "Expat", yet and don't know if I ever will be. the longer I travel, the more and longer I do travel and if I had to predict the future, I'd probably guess, I'll travel more... the US, is simply one of those locations. Andy, I believe (correct me if I'm mistaken) you do not consider yourself to be an Expat but a Traveler, correct? Do you consider yourself a little bit angry? unwanted? wanted? you don't seem it yet you are in the areas where you say have the people there are that way. There must be people who aren't that way there otherwise you'd have no peers and I bet it would get pretty annoying. Indeed during my travels, I find those people that I don't connect with (e.g. unwanted, wanted, angry, etc...) So, I find people who are of a more similar mindset to myself. So, question. What percentage of the folks you interface with do you believe are more similar to your outlook on life? My experience is it seems to be about 25% or less... Not sure if that is a good or bad thing.. Oh, note, I *REALLY* dig being the wealthiest guy in the room too... provided I'm the only one who can tell. HA!
This is not an attempt to say good or bad, it is just a notation, maybe remember this when we meet expats, they are often, the wanted, and the unwanted, which can be heard in the tone of voice, and the way they talk. As for me, I avoid people who talk bad about their Mothers, Fathers, children, race, religion, or countries, self loathing is too crazy for me.
