Phil Asked, How to Handle Health Insurance Perpetual World Traveler?
my personal experience: Kaiser Permanente has always met, and frequently exceeding my expectations. they have paid for 100percent of any medical needs (and some have been pretty annoying ER visits, post MotorBike accident... ugh) Additionally, i have GeoBlue (and no, I'm not advertising for them) and they have also paid for anything i needed. the great thing about GeoBlue is that they are set up with a network of hospitals globally and allow for direct billing. i have used this as recently as March 2017 when I had the need for a 2 day hospital stay in Puerto Princesa, Palawan Philippines. they have covered me in Thailand and Vietnam as well. GeoBlue costs me about $160 a year (as far as I am concerned that's *free*.. at least for me) and the policy covers me for 100's of 1000's of dollars. I've had the policy for 4 years and the ROI has been 10x. I'll do that investment all day long...
just my $0.12 -)
