My 22 USD per Night Private Room Theatre International Hostel Guatemala City
Knowing about this place from your video saved my butt when i was backpacking guatemala last october. coming back from semuc champey the bus driver instead of dropping us at a bus terminal or other public area he just dropped us at a random gas station in the middle of the night in guatemala city!! you could see everyone go silent as fear took over as we realized he was dropping us there. so we get off the bus, they hand us our packs and i and an australian couple on their honeymoon i had befriended on the drive try to figure out what to do. he looks at maps.me and says well theres a mcdonalds not far from here and we can run there and theyll probably have wifi.
and i'm like yes wifi then we can get an uber and i know about a hostel in guatemala city called theatre hostel that was on this vlogger channel who goes by the name hobotraveler. we're suddenly interrupted by a bunch of guys on motorcycles who pull up and are aggressively getting in the face of one of those security private police guys with the shotgun. yelling at him and trying to intimidate him. we're like oh crap we better get out of here.
so we literally ran to the mcdonalds. got food and then used the wifi to get to theatre hostel. its like 3 or 4am when we finally get there but we made it safely there. we laughed when we saw the giant words on the wall "You only live once!"
I try to always tell the price, and believe it is not nice to avoid price. In the end, we MUST, NEED to know we can afford a place people recommend, I always look for price in any travel recommendation, and know this can actually help people get out of stressful situation, a safe haven, hotel, hostel, apartment they can afford.
Thanks, yes, the 22 USD per Night Private Room Theatre International Hostel Guatemala City was sort of a kick, I wish I was rich, I would always get the single room, in the Hostel, good fun to have people around for talking. I am in the Odessa, Ukraine, and this Smart Hostel dorm room is 11 USD per night, while the private room is 38, wow, what a jump in price, and still I have to share a shower, toilets, etc. I like a private shower, and toilet, or a Hotel, Hostel that has shower areas that allow one to leave the shower, and dry off, without being annoying to others. Life is good, always want to hear others peoples stories, many people think this stuff will never happen to them... LOL, nobody can travel the world and not have some wild stories, no stories, then not really travel.
