Julio A Asked, Is Travel Just another Form of Materialism or Consumerism, Very Price Driven

Andy, I think the question was more in regards to traveling as another form of consumerism in that you are still spending money to buy experiences vs. things. A traveler is still a consumer because he must pay for airfare, hotels and transportation and is still spending money as a consumer. Is it hypocritical to say that buying experiences is somehow more dignified than buying tangible goods? You are still indulging in pleasure for money. All of this has no bearing on me personally. I do whatever I want irregardless of what other people say. That's the secret to have a great life. Simply listen to yourself and ignore the rest.

I agree 100 percent, I said that travel is extremely materialistic and consumeristic.
