James Asked, Do you have Bank Accounts in Guatemala or Togo, or Use Only ATM Cards?
I know about the Schwaab account, sounds like a winner. I just have not wanted to be bothered with it. I use the ATM machine 2-3 imes per month, and never use my ATM cards for small transaction, really only for plane tickets. In a way, the Schaab account does 3 things I do not link. 1. It adds somethiing for me to think about. 2. It adds a red flag to my digital footprint that could lead to the USA government paying attention to me for taxes. 3. It does what Schaab wants, it temps me to buy stocks, and buying stocks is much more expensive venture than paying ATM fees. It would take 3 hours of my time to figure out, set up, and think about it, at 50 dollars an hour, that is 150 dollars, about the cost of one eyars ATM fees. Really a lot of mental brain bandwidth. I think about making money, and saving on water, and hotel cost. I took the 4000 CFA room, and not the 5000 CFA room and saved 60 dolllar, and no downside in the least. But, one-day, I will probably be in the USA for a long time, knowing it is easier to deal with USA crap inside the country, and start a Schwaab account. I am more worried about how to transfer 50,000 USD to Togo, if needed to buy Teack. There are times when working on travel systems that not broken does not warrant the time spent, is is all time investment.
