Is Something Amiss in USA When a Cup of Cheap Coffee is Same as Gallon of Gas?
Well, they're both commodities influenced by many different factors. I wouldn't say strange. Sometimes prices align temporarily like the planets in the night sky. Then, they drift apart.
Fancy Bottled Water cost more than a gallon of gas except California...humm
California government would never allow us to have low gas prices. They keep the prices jacked up with taxes and fees but its not going toward improving our deteriorating roads. Tolls across the SF Bay Area bridges used to be $1, now its $5+. Look at what they're charging to cross the Golden Gate Bridge! There are no toll takers anymore. The government mails you a bill for crossing it unless you give them Fast Track Toll access to your bank account. http://goldengatebridge.org/tolls_traffic/toll_rates.php -- anywhere from $7.25 to $50.75 to cross the bridge one time. There's no more dreamin' in California.
People often will not buy a product until it is over-priced, they do no believe it is good quality when sold cheap. I live on this spread, on this gap, by not paying I save maybe 60 percent. It is normal that my hotel room is better in benefits than the highest priced rooms in a hotel.
