I am not clear about your feeling about the black jailers. Were they treating black inmates with more respect because they were black or you did you resent being treated without respect and the jailers happened to be black.
They made special abuse levels, it was never yes ,or no, they abused everyone. But intelligent questions, that were said politely were answered mocking. I did not speak the same level English as the jailers, I did not speak some form of street language they spoke When I think of the legal system, I want them to be the leaders, there was no justice in the Jail. In a normal world there would be normal amounts of races. The to boot, I got frisk by a female jailer, as if a male jailer would ever be able to frisk a female. The hypocrisy of the system of justice was astounding. I actually would feel safer hanging around with the people in jail than the jailers. All in all, it was so abusive, it will take a year before my mind is clear on what happened, and what my subconscious processed. But, I was there, and you was not. But yes, my gut feeling is they kept making an example of this white guy, me, that they could ignore me, but it was only more than the blacks, or Latinos, we all were abused to levels that would make the average human think about revenge.
Please take a pause here, the whole point of this video was to explain validation. Which is trying to say, don't make people explain their opinions, validate they have a right to their opinions, right or wrong, so off topic.
I have never been arrested. I found comment your on the broward county system very eye opening. There is a presumption of innocence upon arrest.
That aside, Every person should be treated with respect for their human dignity. Our country, our rules our fault for allowing this to go on. It is a shame on all of us to have such a system.
I do not mean to quibble with you but, as I strongly that everybody's feelings should be affirmed and respected I also feel that not everybody is entitled to their own truth. I am not saying that it is my place to correct others unless harm is being done.
