I Accidentally Measured the Air Pollution Here in Lome, Togo, and It is Extremely Scary Situation
Paradise, "One mans paradise is another persons hell." I created another category in the Forum area of HoboTraveler.com. I am calling it "Paradise Defined." And, today, I wrote about the charcoal soot that I am breathing in Lome, Togo. I am going to test the air using my bug bagger in every country I enter. Go look at the World Health Org WHO on this link, and COPD is a top killer, along with another breathing. I can control the water 50 times better than I can control the air, this is amazing to me, I would not have expected this. http://www.hobotraveler.com/paradise-defined/air-quality-paradise-on-planet.php
Solar ovens and solar cookers, box, reflective or parabolic devices could be used to cook and sterilize water. I think that the problem is more cultural and one of convenience. I have a store bought box cooker and it really cooks well, there are lots of styles and lots of different designs. If anybody is interested, this page has some nice plans on it.
Thanks Jean, the solar is simple, and quick, so great. You are 100 percent correct on Solar. I am going to use my bug bagger more, so I can test the air. I am trying to find some cheese type cloth, more dense, and I will make a prototype of a crap catcher. So I can test air quality fast. NOW, I am farm boy grade, so I spit a lot, and always think of spitting at this. There is some 3 billion bacteria in the mouth, so best to liberate a billion or so often by spitting, I think the most unhealthy thing a person can do is swallow saliva. Eating organic is rather far away, an elongated, less. Anything that enter the mouth has to go through a bath of acid, while our nose was not made to deal with polluted air, it has not evolved that high. I only breath through my nose when the dust is super bad. I was not aware of the amount of charcoal soot, and will now test this is Kpalime. Sadly, my 6 dollars room is more isolated, so more healthy, the more you pay for a room, the more people around you, the more unhealthy the climate. Funny part is the urbanization of world, to go Organic one need to live in small towns of less than 2000 people, and stay away from large interstate highways. I think organic food companies need to disclose the distance from highway. I worry less about herbicides, and pesticide, and a lot about gas exhaust on everything in my world. Here is the solar water distillation I designed, and will build, Note I am going to make 2-3 tiers of glass now, and make it more compact, instead of 2 feet by 6 feet, more like 2 feet square, room is needed, and the bigger the glass pieces, the less appropriate tech. http://www.instructables.com/id/Solar-Water-Distillation-Using-Rain-Water/
Here is a woman in Dubai who died from Asthma attack. I truly recommend people stop celebrating big cities, they are not paradise. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/1426461/heartache-as-expat-scottish-woman-37-dies-after-suffering-a-severe-asthma-attack-in-dubai/
