Hit a Deer on Way to Corner to See the Boys
Andy, glad you are safe and no physical injuries. A little emotional bruising shows you are human and have a good heart. Hopefully the car won't be off the road too long so you and Mom Graham can 'make the rounds' (grocery shopping, doctor appointments, BSing with the boys in the band...) as required.
I am OK, the car will be OK, it appears Mom Graham has full coverage, and we are pretty sure it will pay for all the repairs. Strangely, nobody in Orland wants a deer hit by a car, there are so many deer around here, that people are actually tired of eating deer. Hunting is no longer as big of sport, and as best I can surmise we have a deer problem, there are too many. Mom Graham told me Dad hit at least 4 deer, as best I can tell, everyone around me has hit a deer, it super common. Very difficult to avoid hitting them here in small town Indiana. Yet, it was my first, and no fun to kill an animal, where by accident, or by need. I worked on a farm for years, and do not explain animal stories anymore, the world is no longer chugging along on all rational cylinders. The DNR will pick the deer up, Department of Natural Resources. I leave in 4 days for Hait, so all is good. Mom has went up to 9 months without a car, so easy enough for her. Life is good here in Olrand for people, yet, as normal, a fed do complain.
