BRENT WROTE ME AN EMAIL:

Greetings Andy,
Do not expect Enterprise to pick you up in El Paso.TX. I waited over an hour for them and finally had to take a taxi to get my car. No apology nothing.
Thanks
Brent

MY REPLY:
Hmm, I told them they could pick me up anytime from 12 noon, until 4 am, and then took the car to Mom Graham house, so I could drive it the next morning to Chicago, a 24 hour rental period. I went in, visited with them, and got an assurance that they would indeed pick me up ,and they said, it depends a lot on how busy we are. I cannot get a taxi from Orland to Angola. Well, maybe for 50-100 USD, or more. When I use any type of transport, I plan on doing the trip twice when possible. I will leave travel time to make the trip twice, for example, I took the plane from Chicago to JFK with Jet Blue, I did not take the last one, I took the next to last one I could take, and still make the connection. If the first plane fizzled, I could get on the second Jet Blue and still arrive. And Brent did the same, by using a taxi, he had his backup. If they had not came, my sister would have taken me, but would have been a problem. Leaving enough backup space for planes is a problem. This is why I was so angry with AeroMexico, there was only 2 hours, and to go through customs, and enter the country is not enough time in 2 hours. I need to write Expedia and explain that a 2 hour layover in Mexico does not work, because of their extremely unusual system of making bags enter and leave the country, and humans to enter and leave the country.

Bottom line, never trust anyone, have a backup.
