The Time it Takes to Pack is the First Priority Togo I am in Lome, Togo West Africa, I will leave in about three to four hours for the country of Ghana. I rented a room for two months, then traveled from location to location using the room in Lome for a base. Well, what happens is the room became more stable and entrenched, I purchased small items like a broom, insect spray, extra clothesline cords, sometimes hangers for a closets, not this time, however sometimes. I know it take me about 30-60 minutes to pack normally, I am slow, and use this time to clean, sort, and discard the extra items I have in my bag. I do not need a checklist, everything that is in the room, goes into the bag. however when I am leaving from the USA and I have just purchased many items, I have a long paper checklist. The point of this post is to explain, it takes me about 30-60 minutes to pack, whether I think, plan, do not plan, or just forget what I am doing. Today because I am more entrenched in the room, it will take a small time longer. Therefore, I will allot about 90-120 minutes to pack. There just is no reason to get frustrated about packing or think there is a right or wrong way to pack, all my belonging go into the bag. With experience I would guess a person learns what they need handy or quick to grab, however the mind protects you and normally doesa priority checkwhether you wish too or not. And the persons brains who does not, does not, so they need to have a checklist of what to think. Relax, do not worry about packing, just give it the proper time, if for some reason you think it takes you five minutes to pack, I am worried about you, a person that says comments like this, misses the plane.
