Problem Blogger.com Never Stops Publishing

I have a huge blog on Blogger.com, 3442 post as of December of 2007.
I am having trouble here in Bangkok, Thailand with the publishing, the blog
gets stuck on publishing.
Solution seems to be this, I change the path of the FTP in setting, I found I
can just type in the exact same FTP line.
Save.
The thing says to re-publish and I click on this and it start to publish the
whole blog.
I have not way to get easy solutions from blogger.com.
