I remember this as being the same in Poland, the Hotel rooms in Poland were
expensive, however when I finally accepted the offer to live in a Home, I was
surprised how cheap rooms became.
IF you are on a tight budget, and wish to enjoy your trip in Togo, try asking
for a room in someone home, I find the prices to be from 500 to 3000 CFA or from
one dollar to six US dollars, however I suppose about 2000 or four dollars is
common and a fare price to offer.
