Hello Eric,
I sometimes think I have nothing to do, then I do not
respond to emails, and I think, why am I busy?
I think my time is used in
set-up time. I need to set-up the job, then I also need to ignore the new place.
More or less, it take me about three days in a new hotel before I am adjusted,
my glasses are here, my cell phone is here, my bag is here. Then there is the
arrangement of where to eat and how to buy food.
I think or feel you may qualify as a highly effective
person, this type of person can travel easy. A person that moves every two days
to a new location stops traveling and goes home. It is just too stressful and
they never have the time after the 2-3 days set up time.
I think like a carpenter, I was a good carpenter,
worked concrete for two years. A good carpenter does not make one way trip, they
walk carrying thing one way, and return carrying something on they way back.
They cannot waste a movement, or nothing is accomplished. Software is a project
that is over time, has an beginning, middle and end. Then it can take months,
years to complete.
Forget something and a piece of the puzzle is
missing.
A good traveler, never makes special trips, tourist are only
special trips. to buy something.
I am on day two of being in the city, I really just
start out ignoring the place, and get set-up quicker.
Hope your project is a success, software is
intriguing to me.
