Day 016 Memorial Day is Taking the Fight to Them wo we can Dream in Red White and Blue

Saturday, May 26, 2012, this is Memorial Day weekend, and I want to thank the boys who took the fight to them.

I woke at 4:30 this morning, I wake at 4:30 every day, I am forced to wait, it feels as if everyone around me hates life. Wake up damn it, the sun is shining and you are burning daylight, do not be a bunch of hungover losers.

Yes, some days I wake up angry.

There is a song by Brooks and Dunn called "Only in America," it is pretty much my adopted theme song for this Road Trip USA. The song has some great lyrics, one of them is:

"Yeah we dream as big as we want to."

My friend Jack from Canada told me 14 years ago, when I first started traveling the world,

"Yep, a lot of countries are angry at America, there is a long list of countries the USA country has beat in war."

The list is long, and USA has always "manned up," and took the good fight abroad, and for sure, I know my boys in Orland, Indiana are ready to kick a few if they ever bring the fight home. Yet, Soldiers in the USA have always been VFW's, they are Veterans of Foreign Wars.

I have been a foreigner for 14 perpetual travel years, I can easily empathize with the Mexicans in the USA, they are foreigners trying to claim the USA. I on the other hand have, always remember when I am abroad, I am just a visitor, I do not have any rights. But in American, we serve up the American dream on a plate to any idiot coming in from any country on the planet. I do not mind that, but I do not like the arrogance.

Arrogance, arrogance, arrogance, that is all I get in America, I am surrounded by a very arrogant people, they are called Americans.

I want to know, I want to understand, can this country still have the right to say,

"Yeah we dream as big as we want to."

There is a soldier who was shot at, a soldier who realized he could die, and now is not sure if his country appreciates what he gave walking around this weekend.

American flag eagle

I am an arrogant American, I know that.

99 percent of my traveler comrades go and apologize when they abroad, it is too stupid for words, they come from the best country on the planet, and they do not walk with their head up, they apologize. The.y cannot appreiciate the USA and be grateful, they apologize

Yet, I understand the world, American are truly a bunch of of know it alls, we think we know everything, we think we have the right to tell others what to do. Yes, and we do have the right, because in the real world, might makes right, is is just a fact of life, the alpha male takes what he wants.

NOW: The world smells weakness in Americans

Weak people get kicked by bullies, in the 90 countries I have visit on this planet, there is always a need to be a little macho. I need to be able to look a person in the eye, and back them off, when needed.

I want to know it ain't true... I want to believe Americans are not a bunch of fat, metro-sexual, wimps, who deserve nothing, but want it all.

I want to know my America has my back, when I take off to travel abroad , I want to know that Americans can still take the fight abroad. I am 100 percent sure wars will always exist, not a doubt in my mind.

My gut says, America is going down the tubes, all the Arabs need to do is double the price of gas, and this country is bankrupt, we could not afford to drive to work. It would cost more for gas, then we are paid, this is the real world, they could do this tomorrow.

America is extreme vulnerable to bankruptcy, it is nuts.

I can dream as big as I want, why? Simple, I know I can, because I am America, and I thank all the soldiers who got shot at in foreign lands. I was one of the idiots back home in Indiana protesting the Vietnam War, I will forever be apologizing for my actions. I am truly sorry, I did not even know why we was in the war, I was just being a trendy idiot, going along with the group, I did not understand the big picture.

But after 90 countries, and 14 years, I can see the big picture, we was fighting against China, Russian, and North Vietnam in the Vietnam War and we won. All those countries have adopted, and are becoming more democratic daily These countries are trying to become like America, we are not becoming Chinese.

Chinese want to come here to live, we do not go to China to live.

We won the Vietnam war, we stopped the dominoes from falling.

But, I am sure, America is losing the war of capitalism, of free enterprise, this "Made in America" idea is crapola. We do not make anything the world wants to buy, we are only consumers. We make over-price, extravagant items that only are being purchased by the truly dumb.

Yes, I want to buy American, but not because is is made in America, but because it is the best deal on the planet.

Do not threaten me, buy in America, be loyal, I am not going down the tubes just to say, I am on the losing team.

I have a dream, of meeting Americans who could give a shit about selling to America, and instead they say,
"This product is sold in 252 countries."

And I do not want to think only about Pringles and Marlboro's, we export the crap, I want to see a generator that is better than Honda. I want to see bus that is better than a Mercedes or Volvo.

Next time I go to Rwanda, I want to ride in an American made Micro-Bus.

I want America to take it to the world, as I our soldiers have done in the past.

I am afraid, when my parent dies, there may not be any reason to come home, because I will no longer dream in Red, White, and Blue.

I have not give up on America, I hope for a bigger recession, I want the USA to get their ass kicked, so they the wake up. Somehow the USA need to get their head out of their ass, and see the light, we are not competing globally, we are not even in the game, China, Russia and all the underdeveloped countries are thriving, and the USA and Europe are going down the tubes.

Made in America, and sold in 252 countries, that is what I want to hear, not this wimpy threat, that I need to buy America, or I am not American.

"Made in America, and we export to 252 countries."

Thank you to the soldiers who took it abroad, and I am searching for Brooks and Dunn for singing this great song, "Only in America." I would love to interview them and thank them, put it on YouTube, and go virals, yes... yes.. I can dream as big as I want.

I can still dream in Red, White and Blue, and I dream of travel to another 90 countries and seeing American products everywhere.

I do not want to be part of a group that is a bunch of spoiled arrogant brats who brag about being American, who feel entitled.

What makes you special? Did you have a special moment in your life when you know you contributed when you make the world a better place.

Only in a American can I dream... This is still true, the average person on the planet cannot rise above, and live a life like mine, it is not possible.

I have been to 90 countries because I live the America Dream.

Sun coming up over New York City
School bus driver in a traffic jam
Starin' at the faces in her rearview mirror
Looking at the promise of the Promised Land
One kid dreams of fame and fortune
One kid helps pay the rent
One could end up going to prison
One just might be president

Only in America
Dreaming in red, white and blue
Only in America
Where we dream as big as we want to
We all get a chance
Everybody gets to dance
Only in America

Sun going down on an La. freeway
Newlyweds in the back of a limousine
A welder's son and a banker's daughter
All they want is everything
She came out here to be an actress
He was a singer in a band
They just might go back to Oklahoma
And talk about the stars they could have been

Only in America
Where we dream in red, white and blue
Only in America
Where we dream as big as we want to
We all get a chance
Everybody gets to dance
Only in America

Yeah only in America
Where we dream in red, white and blue
Yeah we dream as big as we want to

Sounds like you are rewriting history on the subject of the vietnam war. Sure, this country has taken a lot of land away from a lot of people, and we get to enjoy the fruits of that acquisition, and a lot of people want to come here because this has been an aggressor nation throughout history. But might does not make right.

Once the fiber has gone out of a wonderful and ripe piece of fruit, allowed to rot... eaten and digested by bacteria, molds and various pathogens... the fruit does not come back.

It sinks into the earth. What it leaves behind however is priceless... the seed of its its own beginnings in all cases.. new seed, but the same.

In the case of the United States of America, it has seeded the world with its notion of individual liberty and the foundation documents, our US constitution, bill of rights, and the writings of the founders... and has indeed changed the world...the subsequent rot not withstanding.

... that will be all thats left of our fruit.. viable seeds regenerating across a much broader spectrum... that will remain as 'made in america' as long as this particular iteration of human life on earth remains.

Individually, physically, we all go out the bottom..and not in great glory either. What some of us leave behind is our idea's.. the rest, assuming 1 pound of excrement per day... a few hundred tons of crap. Not bad. It sustains the bacteria... who ever said the burocracy was useless has missed this point.

Most of the worlds ancients have written that we are one of many world civilizations over at least hundreds of thousands of years, if not millions of years that has risen, only to ripen in its great glory, then take the short path back to mother earth.

How one orchestrates that last stage of life is my current range of concerns... in a national if not world wide collapse.

its something like a bit of sea weed trying to figure out how it is going to live a little longer in the ocean when it is has no control over the tides... ludicrous in many aspects... but not ludicrous if you run out of pork and beans.

I like wearing a Harley-Davidson tee shirt with a big American flag on it when I travel overseas. (mostly asia) the locals seem to like it and it pisses off the brits and europeans.
I give thanks to all those people that sacrificed their lives so that I have the liberty to do that.
