Internet service is available by simply attaching a smartphone to a netbook or notebook via a USB cable. Plus, with GlobalAccess Connect, customers only need to carry one device for all their global voice, e-mail, and data needs. GlobalAccess Connect is available on BlackBerry Bold 9650 and BlackBerry Storm2 9550 smartphones and requires an unlimited GlobalEmail Access Plan for $64.99 monthly access.

Global Verizon Wireless also offers a global version of its VZ Navigator service to allow travelers to access maps and audible turn-by-turn directions in 25 countries. Customers can transform their handsets and smartphones into navigation devices to discover destinations, share locations with friends and quickly adapt to local currencies, date and address formats and country codes. VZ Navigator Global is available for a monthly access charge of $19.99 per device.
