Pak Bara Pier or Dock / Mouth of a river.

The customs office. This is just left of the Ranger office if looking from the water. We are about 35 kilometer from Malaysia. More or less a border town, and lots of smuggling I suppose.

People in front of the custom house waiting for a long tail boat to leave or come. This is the loading area for common travelers.

Pier in front of Customs office.
I do not understand correctly yet. But I believe that is just part of the mainland. There is a river at the mouth of Pak Bara. So the dock is locate on the mouth of a river. On the other side of that jut of land is Bulon Island

Looking toward my bungalows and straitght ahead 24 kilometers is Tarutao.
The main boardwalk or pier of Pak Bara. This is the tourist side. In the back of the picture are the ferries used during the regular season to go to Tarutao.

Fisherman.
Me trying to catch a photo of children.
In between the customs office and the Rangers office is a coffees shop again. Itis the place you want to come to if you want a boat quickly and easily. So to charter a longtail boat you come to this coffee shop. It is nice and friendly. These military pants are everywhere in Thailand and are in fashion. So nothing new here. He says he owns land on Bulon and I should go there. He will take me to Tarutao for 1000 or mabye 800 Baht.
