My name is Andy Graham, I stopped drinking alcohol 28 years ago. This is not a joke, I have not put alcohol, or drugs in my body for 28 years. However, I am also addicted to food, and food addiction and alcoholism are similar. The alcoholic has no choice, he must learn how to stop his or her addiction or die.

Society supports food addictions, the enables are everywhere, we can only make the choice to stop alone, there is almost zero support to stop, every excuse for being fat will be allowed in modern culture to prevail.

Here I hope to explain how to apply the theories of addiction to weight loss.

Being Fat is the only addiction that a person cannot stop 100 percent. The solution to an addiction is to perform activities that are emotionally contradictory or in opposition to the behavior. i.e., to go to Alcoholics Anonymous, and drink is incongruent. For person trying to lose weight, the idea of exercising and then eating should be incongruent. However the reward syndrome can kick in and a person can eat more after exercise.

The idea of losing one pound a week is incredible, you are asking an addict to have extreme moderation over the addition. The best way to moderation is to not start, but how can I stop eating. I can fast, or stop eating for a week easier than I can slow my cravings for food. Only a non-addict would ask a person to slow his addiction, this is ludicrous.

The only true solutions is abstinence to the point where they body almost does not think it has any food, where sugar cannot create the vicious circle of craving. What a horrible addiction, food is the only one whereby I must put my addiction in my mouth.

If you eat the exact same meals for a week, you will not look forward to eating, you will in fact start to despise eating, what a wonderful idea.

Meals Versus Scavenger
Any amount of food makes the metabolism spike up, therefore there is a sum it takes to put food in your month.
Example: Maybe you body burst up the metabolism to eat one carrot. If you separate the carrots by a hour or two, you may well keep the metabolism running continuously. A meal on the other hand allows to stop or come to rest between meals.

Mental of Addiction to Food
Knowledge alone is not going to solve you addiction to food, this is an emotional problem, and in many ways dysfunctional behavior trips the trigger to stuff.

Recommended Daily Calorie Intake

First, the easy information,  just use the number 2000 and you will be close enough.

"USDA Estimated Calorie Requirments The U.S. Department of Agriculture publishes a very simple calorie requirement guideline based on age, gender and activity level. As a general rule, men need more calories than women, adults need more calories than children--at least until age 52 when caloric needs decline, and active people need more calories than sedentary people. The USDA believes that women ages 19 to 30 years old need 2,000 calories if they're not active, 2,200 calories if they're moderately active and 2,400 calories if they're very active. From ages 31 to 50 women need 200 calories less at each activity level and a further 200 calorie reduction after age 52. Sedentary men ages 19 to 30 need 2,400 calories, moderately active men need between 2,600 and 2,800 calories and active men need 3,000 calories daily. Caloric needs decrease by 200 calories as men age, just like women."

Snacking
Compulsive behavior, the only food allowed for temptations is negative calorie foods such as carrots or celeries. When I walk in a home of fat people and see a well-stocked pantry, I know it is hopeless, they are protecting their addiction. It is best to go the market every time you are hungry, this will truly impede your ablity to just knack without resistance.

Same Food Daily Versus a Variety of Food
The addict relaxes when there is routine, when there is change, he or she can lose the stability. When eating, it is often best to eat the exact same foods for 3-5 days, then change. This will often remove triggers from your mind.

Self-Talk
Do not allow people to say you are not fat
Do not say, "I need to eat."
County the phrase you say aloud or inside your brain.
"I want to be thin?"  One times
"I want to eat?" 20 times
Solution, when you say in your head "I want to eat." instantly change the balance, and say "I want to be thin." 10 times so the self talk is balance in the proper direction. Words have weight and the weight of these thought create you self-esteem and defines how you see your self.

Temptation and Triggers
- The more temptation, the more likely a person is to eat.

Solutions:
1. Call a person who does not want you to eat
2. Do the opposite of eating, if you go run, it is contra-congruent with eating.

- There must be roadblocks between the onset of compulsion to eat and the ability to eat.

Sugars are used for energy, proteins is used as the matériels to make muscles. Protein with the absence of sugar is not easily converted to energy. The body uses almost more calories than consumed providing the protein has no fat. Example. Whites of Eggs, or Tuna in Water. Chicken Breast, with no skins.

This is an addiction and needs treated as such, but the problem is we cannot stop, we must somehow eat, but keep the addiction moderated, not a pretty picture for an addict.

Phlegm - India people are very thin, their diet has many extremely hot foods, this makes them spit. Truly their metabolism is racing continuously eating a diet of high acidic foods. This metabolism spiking regulates you weight, the onset of symptoms is a feeling of perspiration and racing heart.
