About Edgar Oneill
I am happily retired in Philippines. I don't intend to travel much more, but I have travelled extensively in my lifetime. I've been an expatriate most of my life. When I finished my studies at Trinity College, Dublin, 1975, I went to West Africa and taught for a few years. Later, after getting married to my filipina wife, I went to Papua New Guinea and stayed there for 21 years. I worked in Education initially, writing educational material including textbooks which are still used there. For the last ten years I worked in the Taxation Office, assessing tax returns of petroleum producing companies - stimulating work. Then we went to Australia on a retirement visa and stayed there for five years, before moving to Philippines in 2009.
