You Are Never Alone, If You Have A Hat
4 people have told me, “I want to kill myself.” in the last two months. I text, and chat with these people; I do not try to fix them, they are not broken, they are normal people. There is no greater poverty than to have no friends.
I meet on average, 5-15 people per day, we exchange names.
“I am Andy Lee Graham.”
And they reply.
“Joe.”
I met a man in Soriana’s supermarket, when I noticed his hat, it was a great hat. I said,
“Your clothes match your hat, you look happy.”
I am in Huatulco, Mexico, one of the cleanest cities I have ever been to in my 24 years of non-stop travels. This is a lot to say, being I have been to 114 countries.
The man with hat said,
“Full Name.”
Then he gave me a business card.
BRILLIANCE!!!!
This man will never be alone. We met later for coffee at the Mission de Arcos hotel. I ate a piece of apple pie, with cinnamon sprinkled on top, life was special yesterday.
Why?
I met a man who was friendly, wanted to talk, wanted to laugh, drink coffee, and talk about the world.

He had 3 degrees, and an MBA, a successful person, and easy to see why; he was friendly. The secret to success is saying hello.
You never need to be alone, there are always 1-10 people on Everyday Hobo who are incredibly interesting.
Many people consider me boring, this man with 3 degrees, a great hat, and living in an expensive hotel did not.
The restaurant had tablecloths.
Life is a puzzle, an experiment and too many people are losing in the game of life.
What is the secret to success?
Life is good
Your friend, Andy Lee Graham
