Added "Social Status" to my person goal worksheet Wrote this a few week ago, I have goals, a bucket list, dreams, plans, etc, I am the same as any human. I wrote out my first set of goals over 30 years ago in this format. https://www.hobotraveler.com/goal/goal-setting.php And, the other day, I realized, I missed, left off the most important goals of any person on the planet, they want to improve their social status, they wish to respect themselves, and to be respected by others. I think they want more to be famous, then respected. Most want to be the rich, and famous, which for me seems like a fools run, but many would become rich, and famous if they had more basic, more start at the beginning goals, not platitude goals. A platitude is nice words, with no action. https://www.hobotraveler.com/happiness/goal-worksheet-by-andy-lee-graham.php The worlds is generally full of lies, platitudes, and cliches, and short on actionable steps. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Platitude Life is good, but best when we make progress towards doing anything, other than nothing.

True.....love also to me is action....we can even love someone without the emotion of it, by actions....of course this is easier with the feeling behind it....I also found out a long time ago that I could not trust words....just actions would tell me all I needed to know....as to your last sentence....this is also true....and if I had made out a bucket list 30 years ago like you.....rich and famous wouldn't have been on the list......I think about the rich part some now, but only as a tool to a means...and I passed up I can tell you a number of opportunities because I really didn't understand what was being offered....I am probably the only one I know that turned down an offer from someone who in his field is a legend....Bob Dylan was eager to record with him.....Dolly Parton is on the CD....the one I could have been on too....with my brain as it is....I simply saw this man as someone I knew and loved...with his good points and his bad...like all of us.....guess that is why he liked my company.....I just didn't even understand fame and fortune then....now I do.....and also...I didn't even turn him down....I just sat there and said nothing.....I only mention this...not as to impress anyone with "Name-Dropping....but just speaking my thoughts in response to your words....also.....if I was somewhere other musicians gathered and played....lot's of jam sessions going on....I would be hid out somewhere with a few others playing.....I did not want the attention...I only wanted to express myself musically for the sheer sublime joy of it......so now...and for many years....if something had to be done...no matter how hard....physically or otherwise....I had to do it....as I am still....I'm getting there....I am 3/4ths of the way....trying to keep up the enthusiasm to implement this 3 year plan that is progress.....and now...I am communicating outright in this manner....instead of in solitude...and thanks to the support from all of those on your site, Andy....this is getting easier....if I can add one more thing?....I am always surprised when different people call me extremely independent...because I don't see myself this way....I only learned that accepting help from someone came with a price....a price I was not going to be a slave to.....a price I would not be abused by.....I am going to post this...even though I am afraid it might not be the right response to your statements.....but I am speaking from what is called an "Atypical Mind"....which to me...it is all I have known...and therefore "Typical".....one day...I may even share how I found this site...which is not in the typical manner either to most...but very typical for me.....Thank You, Andy....and a thank you to all in advance for having patience with my efforts at communication and involvement here!!!

Janellen, if you're referring to Bob Dylan wanting to help you out I'm kinda blown away by that. Followed him since the 70's and still relevant. Saw him with Tom Petty in the early 90's. Someone asked him how he managed to remember the words to his 1,000's of songs...he said it was because they mean too much to forget. Words have meaning on their own, esp. if the emotion behind it is genuine. I see actions following words and emotions as an elaboration of that connection, but not always necessary as a legitimate expression of our emotions. Some of our greatest teachers/visionaries gave only heartfelt words to express real caring. It is when words are discordant with actions that creates hypocrisy. I can relate to your self-description as an 'atypical mind'. The statistical 'outliers' among us often lead the masses to greater places...and the ones that don't, are still interesting in their unorthodox approach.

No....I was referring to Bob Dylan wanting to record with this man and he did...a really great recording...you can hear him on Youtube singing "Lonesome River" with him....and I am using the atypical mind in referring to the autism spectrum disorder in myself....and in having to come to the understanding that the words of the people around me did not match up with their actions.....and to discern between truth and a lie in this manner.....and I only really mentioned the missed opportunities in reference to wealth and fame not having been important to me......like Andy saw that those 2 were missing on his old bucket list....also...I really did not understand the value of money in the system of this world.....now I do.....and yes....I do wish I had understood this earlier....because now I would have more money....since money is required to do the things we want to do.....and then....I wish I had more to maybe buy presents for people.....or be able to go immediately to the aid of a friend....I really like all your words though....I can feel your IQ is high up there.....and thanks for Bob Dylan's words on how he remembers the words to so many songs.....things imprint themselves in my brain and I see them in pictures....they are then played back to me.....I wish I hadn't spent so much time expressing my thoughts.....but I don't give up....and I love to learn....just not "out there" where others can see my mistakes....like now....RYK Z....I really appreciate your response.....you are a kind man!
