Marijuana is Now Legal I think in USA

President Obama has officially made Marijuana legal in the USA, more or less as our newly elected King he has made law,
“My people, please ignore the law.”
He has castrated all the federal laws and turned them into blue laws.
Blue Laws on Wiki

Fireworks are legal in the State of Indiana also, it is like this, you can buy Fireworks in Indiana providing you sign a paper saying you are taking them out of state or some agreed up lie.

This is a very effective use of power, efficient, effective and saves millions of dollars, just tell the public what they want to hear and so be it,
“Number 1, make is so.”
(Star Trek)

The world is championing clever, all us good old boys who obey the law are considered unsophisticated and naïve.

I am sort of in favor of a national health plan, but I do not want anybody to be able to opt out of it, and for sure, I do not want a poor person to need to pay. Maybe Obama can just say,
“Pay the doctors what you think they are worth.”
A much more expedient health plan and I think the people would obey, I truly love watching how the mind of man can convince people to smile while making an illegal u-turn with critical reasoning.

Hotel Video of Hot Water on Demand Shower and Sink

Here is one of those travel tips videos you should watch and probably think is not important. This video shows both how an on demand hot water systems works on most of the planet and a novel idea for hotels where they can put both the sink and the shower on the same water line.

Lonely Planet Haiti in 2009

I was able to purchase the Lonely Planet “Dominican Republic and Haiti” guidebook. I sometimes think I am going off the tourist path, however I soon realize, gee whiz, there is a guidebook…

I always travel with a guidebook, even though this book cost me 21 U.S. Dollars, I am absolutely positive the cost will be offset by the money and frustration saved. Note, I do not read all the historical and liberal crap in the books until after I have been “in country” for about three weeks. If I want the historical realities, I get on Wikipedia.org; I save the confused commentaries for after my mind has a more balanced perspective. I want to avoid the garbage in, garbage out talk I incessantly hear from other backpackers, what they know about a place they have never been to be amazingly stupid.

Good For Me is Bad for You

There are situations where I thrive, while I know you will wither and die, and the converse. I have tossed around an idea in my head for a few years, I suppose ever since I went to Iraq.

Why explain how to do something I believe readers cannot do?

I suppose I could sell dreams, I personally feel a little negligent and on dangerous ground when I encourage others to do something.

Example: Many years ago, I was told how to jump trains like real Hobos of old, well this is a nice idea, and I started to plan to jump trains. A man sent me a photo showing a man cut in when he failed to jump on the train.

Now, what if I go and succeed, then many readers run off and are killed. If I run off to Iraq, the threshold cost of going there is greater; readers truly cannot just walk out the door in a fit of reader’s delirium and go to Iraq. I just cannot find the moral high ground. It always pains me, I could care less if readers like me, however I do care if a reader gets hurt following my paths.

I think my terse tone of writing often emanates from my desire to stop readers from following my path, because I know what is good for me, is often bad for you. I am doing my best to discourage you, to allow you to dream, but make you aware you need to forge the path alone and take responsibility for you actions.

Normally a travel writer will make some mundane and boring situation into an adventure.

Clarion Hotel La Guardia Airport New York 129.73

I paid for the most expensive one-day Hotel reservation of my life yesterday; it is costing me 129.73 U.S. Dollars. What a painful experience, I normally pay less than 25 US globallly, and truly I am happiest when I pay five dollars per night. I once lived in Five Star Hotels daily for four months, the company I worked for paid, I do have experience with expensive Hotels.

I am obeying the Prime Directive of Travel.

I have a problem with sciatica in my back, it is feeling lots better, yet the last thing I want to do is walk around in New York City with a heavy backpack and injure it, I spent way too long in the Philippines allowing it to heal.

New York is center of the modern world, not a cheap and easy place to enter and leave. I had to think about this a long time, if I lived in one of the cheap Hostels costing between 20 and 50 US dollars near 45th street where I having the meeting. It would be convenient to the meeting, yet difficult trip with my backpack to the Hostel. I opted to stay right across from La Guardia Airport to minimize carrying the backpack. I can then travel into the city to the meeting in an enjoyable manner, without a care in the world.

Now, I still have to worry about check in and check out, in the normal world check in is about 11-12, and they are saying I cannot check in to 1500 or 3:00 pm, I arrive at 11:00 am, I hope they are nice. I assume they are nicer people than Hostel managers, they tend to be Hostile. I am also supposed to check out at 11:00 am, but my plane leaves at 9:00 pm. I hope they allow me to store my bags somewhere while I am at the meeting.

I feel like I am caught in the middle of a rulebook, truly this is the hard part about the developed world; there are way too many rules. I had to ask myself, how much I am willing to pay to deal with the hassles of New York; I decided it was worth the extra 80 dollars to avoid New York as much as possible…. I will enjoy New York more if I am not carrying two Backpacks.

There is a correct way to enter all cities and countries; sometimes the best way to obey the Prime Directive of Travel is pay at the most enjoyable level.

I used Kayak.com to find the Hotel.

Glenn Beck Entitlement Mentality

Glenn Beck Entitlement Mentality
Have you traveled to Africa, Central America, South America, and asked yourself,

“Why do I deserve to live in a nice hotel,
while everyone around me lives in poverty?”

Why am I “entitled” to be rich?

Why am I entitled to travel the planet when your sitting home working your butt off?

I watch a truly spooky Glenn Beck show this morning,
Collapsing the System

Quote from a writer that belittles Glenn Beck.
“There is a growing awareness among the general public that the entitlement mentality is bleeding the nation dry…”
By Patrick Glenn
Glenn Beck Tells You What You Want to Hear

When I searched on Google, I found another writer gloating
Glenn Beck Loses 57 Advertisers for Fox

If I tell the truth about countries, finding advertisers becomes difficult, this is the reality I face every day of the week. I am 100 percent aware that telling the truth as I see it cost me money.

A person should never travel the planet, one day they may just ask the question.
“Why me, why am I entitled as an American to be rich?”

International Drivers License 15 Dollars

International Drivers License 15 Dollars
I purchased an International Drivers License for 15 U.S. Dollars in the Triple AAA Insurance office in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

This is what the driver’s license looks like; it was too easy to get, took maybe 15 minutes in the Triple AAA office.

It is a long story, however something like this, I met a British guy in the Philippines, and he says he can help me purchase a Nissan Micra in the UK.

On the application, they wanted me to list the countries, I started and she said,
“Enough.”

UK, France, Spain, Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, the Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia…. Ok, I was finished, I want to go to Liberia by land in a small air conditioned baby-sized car.

You can apply for the license; you need two photos, a valid driver’s license, maybe a passport and 15 dollars. You fill out the application, the AAA worker sticks the photo to the thing, fill it out, truly a plug and play, pay to play thing, not big deal. I could have purchase for another 15 dollars an Inter-America drivers license, I though to myself,
“A person has to be crazy to drive in Central or South America, that is dangerous.”

We were debating, maybe the ones you buy on the Internet are fake, and the AAA worker said they were fake, but who knows?

The license is good for one year, just to be safe, I am going to carry the receipt for payment from AAA inside the thing. Strange how this works, but often you have to prove you purchased a Visa, etc.
