There is a super market down the street. It is open from 9-2 in the morning and is open from 5-8 at night. It is very difficult for me to remember to go. The USA custom of being open 24 hours a day has spoiled me. I always wonder how they make any money? But probably what happens is because there is not large areas of land available, plus nobody really has a car, plus the cost of land is so much, etc.
They can exist. In Beverly Hill they have a mall and a grocery store in a high rise building. The parking garage, mall, grocery idea seems perfect for this city and Paris. But strangely they do not have many 30 story building. There seems to be a 7 story limit or something. Maybe they do this to stop the view from becoming horrible. But then again it is so difficult to buy things that it is annoying. In the really cheap countries they work so hard to sell things, and the cost of transportation is so cheap, you can go to a market and take a taxi home. Here you would have to carry all on the Subway.
But they still have a SIESTA IN SPAIN
I was in Beligium and they did the same.
Sent out a newsletter with a story about Christopher Columbus and a tip on heavy things in your bag.
Newletter Archives are a pain. I have been working to make easier to find information. After 125 letters it starts to be confusing and people get lost... Including myself. So I am working.. Hard to believe. But here is a link that will make reading some of the old tips more fun.
There are lots of dogs in Barcelona. You will see people walking them all the time. But if you walk by one of them islands in the middle of the sidewalk and it smell like dog.. Sh%$·.
This is the reason for the smell. It is also a danger zone for walking always.
I have only stepped in one so far.
On the way to the beach I met a girl from the Netherland. She had been robbed 3 time in the last week. She has been living in Barcelona for 4 months. She says it is the Morrocans. I ask her if it was day or night. She said it was 2 time at night and once in the day.
I think it pretty safe here. But I learned how to travel in Mexico and Central America. So probably have an advantage. But all my safety rules apply to all places.
I wrote in my last newsletter that the Columbus Statue was pointing to the new world.

It may because the setting in web2mail.com were so old it was using an email address from about 5 years ago. I have had an account with them so long that it has an address from American Express mail that is not longer in business. American Express used to give free email address´s and they just one day dropped it. Thanks American Express for nothing. They was managed by usa.net. This has happened a lot in the last 7 years of my travels. Free for awhile and then they make you pay. The trap.
Apparently, Bombay is one of the most expensive cities when it come to accomodation, so don't "freak" if you have a hard time finding a room anywhere for less than 1000 Ru's/$20.
I have a hard time believing I have to pay 20 dollars in India. Have you got a lonely planet? The internet is the worst place in the world to search for prices. I use that hostel page of mine only to find a hotel in very difficult cities and only for the first night.
Finding rooms and information on places to go on the internet is normally a waste of time. The best places do not need to do well and the worst places spend all their time trying to convince you that you should go there and pay too much. I am going to India because it is cheap. I have had way too many people that hate India because it is so absolutely dirty.
If I have too look for a room constantly in India or get a reservation then I could stay in Europe. It is a constant headache in Europe looking for a room. I do not want that type of headache. It is misery not travel. I think you need to get off the internet and into a guidebook.
