World Class Solution for Healthy Teeth

World Class Solution for Healthy Teeth

Fluoride is good for the teeth, as I understand it, the teeth become harder, however. This is common in many of the richer countries; they add Fluoride to the public water and the public benefits.

However, this is not for the whole world.

This company below St John water or purified water is adding Fluoride to bottle of purified water.

I entered immediately a convenience store and tried to buy this brand of bottle water. I have yet to find the water. I am sad; I do hope this company is thriving. It the world or the United Nations, United States could convince Coca Cola to add Fluoride to their drinks the world would benefit for a very small cost.

10 Dollars to Clean Teeth in Manila

10 Dollars to Clean Teeth in Manila

I paid 500 Pesos, oops, not true, at the last moment in a fit of sleaze, the price changed to 700. I have no idea why, but the quoted price increase. On the other hand, the stand in dentist, not the owner or the dentist of the sign did a very good job.

Thailand is very good, however the dentist have no ability to talk English or explain anything, nonetheless both are cheap enough and available at a drop of the hat to clean your teeth. Now, am I going to have my teeth drilled or capped as the dentist recommend, I do not know. Would have been better if the price had not changed, I was sold on the idea up to then.

SOGO

I am having a curiosity attack, I have been trying to learn what this sign says or means for so long it is getting annoying.

I had a girl say today it means it is a Short Time hotel, I sure hope not, because this would mean that almost half the hotels in Manila are for short time.

This is not more towards and X rating and not for general audiences.

It is a mystery to me.

Then again, I have a feeling when I really understand the Philippines culture; I will leave and never return.

Ice Coffee Addictions

Ice Coffee Addictions

I am becoming a fan of Ice Coffee, the mini stop convenient stores in Manila, Philippines has the newest and the latest type of ice machine. The slurped machine is on the outs, there is a new type of ice slushy machine on the block.

This is a glass of Iced Coffee sold in the Mini Stop Convenience shop for 26 Filipino Pesos or about 50 cents U.S., not a good bargain although acceptable.

It has this extra large diameter straw, a good and wise idea.

This is the new ice machine on the block, those large, mixers are moving out and this one is coming to vogue in the world. It is interesting to see the world change.

Thanks Nescafe for making my day in a world of hot, dust and too much heat of Manila.

Cebu Positive Thinking

Cebu Positive Thinking

I was walking out of this somewhat rich although built like a jail cell fortress neighborhood, I keep passing this sign.

It advertises positive thinking, Raja, Yoga and other or the normal trendy ways of saying things.

It seem ironically out of place that the building has an extreme amount of barb wire protecting what is inside from what is outside or maybe to protect outside from what is inside.

The higher the price of gas the better

The higher the price of gas the better

Bolivia is going crazy, the Islamic world is using oil, petroleum, or whatnot as a weapon. The higher the price of gas goes, the better for the world.

There is nothing noble about having money, a rock musician becomes a millionaire and suddenly they are a world expert on anything and everything.

The solution to many of the worlds problems is for gas prices to increase 10 times the present price. I will be very happy when the price of gas is 20 Dollars per gallon.

Then we will stop being dependent on insane people like Chavez, the crazy ruler of Venezuela, then people that have no business running a country like the ruler of Iran will have no voice, this sudden idiot in Bolivia will go back to the mountains.

I am tired of good men, men trying to earn a living, men or women, good people trying to reason with unreasonable people. A good man should not be expected to listen to the voices of crazy person try to make rules.

We have the technology to stop using oil, it is time to stop using oil, the higher the cost of gas goes the more feasible become any other source of energy.
Change is only feasible when there is no choice, I am happy they are putting the good men of the world in a corner. This is when a good man can show his mettle, and the true bullies will fall.

Quezon City or Cubao

Quezon City or Cubao

I am leaving the Malate area and moving about 150 Peso Taxi drive east away from Manila bay to Quezon City or Cubao. There is also a Quezon Province or State, therefore a little confusing.

In reality, I am just changing neighborhoods in the greater Manila Metropolitan area; I think it will be a newer or more modern area of Manila. I do not like to stay in modern areas of cities or countries; it is like living in the USA with a twist, nothing culturally significant about going to Starbucks or some modern food chain.

My Lonely Planet accurately instructs tourist, however fails my interest or perspective on travel completely.

Quote on Quezon City Page 108 - Eighth Edition

- The area around Timog Ave. and Tomas Morato St is most desirable address if youre looking for a Hotel in Quezon City. Many of the upmarket restaurant chains have branches here and its also convenient for big disco-theatre nightclubs. -

I believe this is what the guidebook readers want to read.
However - Restaurant Chains - or the recommendation of how to get close to the - Restaurant Chains - seems weird to me. I just do not understand, yes, I do like to go to a Pizza Hut or McDonalds on occasion or maybe as they have a Starbucks or TGIF Fridays I could go there. I almost NEVER go to Starbucks or TGIF Fridays as I feel like I am paying a lot of money to say I was somewhere, especially in Starbucks, just feels life an extremely bad value for the money, especially outside the USA.

I do not follow trends in the USA, I follow what I like and appreciate in the USA, and I especially do not travel around the planet to visit the same trends as I could easily visit in the USA.

On the other hand, a guidebook is not as I would hope about how to discover the other countries on the planet; they are more how to find your own country colonized on the other side of the planet. Making sure to remove the pain or meeting another countries culture. I do think a business travel should not have to deal with the local culture; however, I am clueless on the goals of a tourist.

I am only spending one night, maybe two in the Cubao or Quezon area, and then I plan to wander on out into the provinces as they say here. I am going to wander out into the countryside, I hope.

The guidebook is focusing on the main clients or readers here in the Philippines, an older single man with a pay-for-play Philippine girl are his side. Therefore you are not going to make any Philippine girl happy by going to a local restaurant, you need to take her to an
- upmarket restaurant chains have branches here and its also convenient for big disco-theatre nightclubs.-

This is a great way to impress a Filipino girl from the provinces, spend more money in an hour than her family spends in a week on luxury.

I think there is the Quiapo Market over there close to here, I am not sure that is culturally unique, however I do think it is different.

IN the end, the Philippines is a torturously confusing place to move around in and 4 times over-priced when I use the guidebook for help. I keep trying to suss this out, however, I do believe if they changed the focus it would be possible to travel the Philippines as just 1.5 times the cost of Thailand and not 4 times the cost. I do not travel at 4 times the cost, I travel at 1.5 the cost of Thailand, however this is why it is torturously complicated, and I have to search for every hotel.

I am losing the battle in Quezon City, I have no idea where I can find a good reasonable priced hotel around 400-600 Pesos.
