Philippines Photos are fun

Philippines Photos are fun
The ugly photos of life surround me, however happy people are everywhere. There is a temptation to say all is rather hopeless around me if the Philippines people would stop laughing and smiling.

I am tempted to write some long blog post explaining some of the 100 percent nutty Americans I meet, I just do not like to write book blogs. I would have to do that for you, not for me.

This old woman wakes up later, puts a cigarette in her mouth, and all you can see is the scarf with a cigarette under her nose. However, taking pictures of people who are not sleeping is difficult; therefore, I could not take the fun one.

Hard to count, however in the Ermita, Malate, Mambini area of Manila there is maybe 40-50 people who sleep inside their bike taxis at night. I have a father, mother and baby who have set up home just outside my hotel entrance. They washed clothes the other day, and the clothes hanging on the bike was poignant and touching. I have to admit, babies sleeping in the streets is not easy to endure.

I was going to say, what the world needs is more jobs, this is silly here, what the Philippines people needs to do is stop having babies long enough to have the numerous jobs catch up with population density. A person told me a funny comment, making love is in the DNA of Philippines people; love is running rampant in this country, then a surplus of people.

I suppose this is the half-empty glass or half-full glass analogy chart. Norway is number one on the Human Development Index, and the USA is 10 or so, I just cannot get up the energy to say that Norwegians are happier people than Philippines. I would say USA could be happier if they stopped watching the News on TV, and looked around to all the good fortune they have.

Philippines people are a happy lot, they just laugh and joke continually, I was trying not to smile as the cashier girl at 7-11 convenience store is singing a Christmas Carol song as she took my money, then I walk out the door and a man wants me to buy Viagra or Coins. I feel, gee stand a little farther away please, I do not want you too close to me, or touching me, a roller coaster of feeling to go buy a bag of chips.

Asking Trick Travel Questions

Asking Trick Travel Questions
A tricky question can sometime help you to find the truth about a Hotel? I was thinking of asking or saying to a person,
- I get tired of hanging my towel on top of the shower door, do you ever do this in your hotel? -

Ok, let us be real, a person who took of traveling or backpacking for a month, three months or even six months cannot really tell you if a hotel is good or bad, they just do not have enough experience. However, they do know how to answers simple questions.

If you ask some strange questions, you may find the roundabout truths, if I wanted to know if they hotel cleans the room, I could say,
- How many towels does the cleaning person give you per day? -

If I want to know if the WIFI is good, I could say,
- I hear your WIFI is not working. -

There is always a question that indirectly answers a question you did not ask?

A person will almost always say the hotel was good, why, because they stayed there, they do not want to say, no, I paid money for a bad hotel.

When was the last time you heard someone say,
- I lost ten thousand at the Casino. -

How to Get Control of Your Time and Your Life

How to Get Control of Your Time and Your Life
With a good filing system on my computer I can remember anything, because I know how to find information quickly.

This phrase is the name of a book I read years ago.
- How to Get Control of Your Time and Your Life. -

I need to learn a good system to file hundreds of movies on a computer.

The book in short was make a list of what you need to do, and label them

A, as must be done
B do if possible
C low priority

Then more or less never do anything until it becomes and A priority.

I use an extremely edited version of the book and truthfully am not sure, maybe the A B C could be my rendition.

I am very happy to say, I do no have or need a list of priorities because nothing is an A, nothing is a B, and all is C. This is an oversimplification of things, however my system now is more or less, work on what I am obsessed on, and truthfully I think about the number two system on the planet, the first being, work on what the boss forces me to do or I lose my job.

I think the boss does better to hire obsessed people than to force people to work, while some if are at work for lack of anything better to do, do indeed work.

I 100 believe that money is a hopeless motivation, people will not work to feed their families, have way get motivate to earn money, the real reasons are greed and envy, maybe some competition to be famous and prove they are better than their fellow man.

I have people say, how can you blog so much, and the answer is easier if you try to empathize with me that I am not working, I am just thinking and typing at the same time.

Amorphism

I have a system to look this word up in a dictionary in seconds, and I do not need an internet connection. Hard to imagine starting to write without a dictionary next to me.

Am I filing Videos or Movies? This is the problem of the day, I am making videos, I inadvertently label them Movies, I sometime label them as folder movie-thailand or now movie-philippines, although I think video is the proper work, but my mind thinks the word Movie, not Video.

I need to learn soon a good system to file Video Files, or it is Movie Clips because as of today, it is very amorphous.

I am recording two small video files per day. I am using Microsoft Movie Maker a program that came with my computer. If I move a file, a movie I saved as breaks. I need to file perfect and learn a system or I will have a computer full of broken half finished video projects.

Note, this is relatively funny to me, as I see the normal persons system as being, as being this, they make a video, put in on YouTube.com and never work on the video again.

My mosquito net movie could have 100 version and I could continue to add new chapters and sections for a lifetime of travel. Tantamount to writing a love story, just how many movies about love exist, I would say all of them, or love of something.

I would love to go into the office of Steven Spielberg and see how he files information, maybe take a look at his folders and files in his computer if he has a computer.

Philippine Crabs

Philippine Crabs
The reason why the Ten Commandments of the Christian Bible were told to Moses and written down.

The profound information I learned from a man named Simon while sitting in the LA Café, the reason to not judge a man by his clothes and the world can get a grip, learning can truly happen anywhere.

I have traveled in many closer to Ape societies, I believe that man evolved from Apes or something hairy and our behaviors is just one small step above a Gorilla, and or maybe a Monkey. Maybe Gorillas discriminate against Monkeys, so I wish to be called a Gorilla.

Well as you travel down the road to the less civilized aspects of life where they are not good at hiding there primitive behavior like the more developed societies this story starts to apply more.

FILIPINO CRAB STORY
Or
Philippino Crab Story

A man walks out on a long pier; he is carrying a bucket, a fishing pole and is somehow fishing for crabs. (I do not know if this is possible.)

Well, as he is pulling the crabs in from the water he puts them into the bucket. The bucket starts to become full and the crabs are mulling around in the bucket attempting to escape or climb over the side. The man continues to catch crabs and throw them into what is becoming a very full bucket of crabs.

A person passing by sees the bucket, and gets concerned, walks up to the man with the pole in his hand catching more and more crabs and says,
- You need to put a lid on this bucket or your crabs will escape. -

The crab man says,
- No, not needed, these are Filipino Crabs, when one starts to go over the side, and the ones below will reach up and pull it down into the bucket. -

Now, for the envious ones, we can also say
- American Crabs. -
- Ghana Crabs. -
- Peru Crabs -
- Israeli Crab. -
- Russian -
- French Crab- (Note the scarf around its neck.)
- Canadian Crab - (Nobody tell them it looks like the American.)
- Thailand Crab -

Because I know already someone is angry, and proof of this story, I know you do not think you are the same, you are not a Crab and you are not a Filipino crab, you think you are different. Ok, every day needs a juice rationalization with a good delusion of adequacy mixed in, today I am a…
- Filipino Crab with an American Passport. -

The Ten Commandments were written down so people would not need to remember them…

You Cannot Know a Negative, the ones who fail, do not know they failed. A person cannot know about something that never happened, and because the event never happened is not proof it will not happen.

I had this telephone conversation with Travis and it has been haunting me ever since.

Oops, he may have one of the blogs that will break when he purchases a domain, this is not good for me, and I really do not like to recommend a page that may eventually not exist.
http://anotheryearoff.blogspot.com

However, this is an ok example of what I am thinking about, if Travis never buys a domain and continues always to use the blogspot system, this blog, my blog will continue to look good because I said,

Here is a link.
Go look at it.
And the link works.

IF this link breaks.
http://anotheryearoff.blogspot.com

Then I am blamed for a good choices Travis made, the first to choose blogspot, and the second to get his own domain. I do not know, I hope this domain is him.
http://www.anotheryearoff.com

If not, then I hope the person that owns it enjoys the small traffic and the incoming link, with all the google.com juice, you are welcome.

ANTICIPATION OF FUN
- Planning your trip
- Planning the fun
- Planning your travel destinations
- Planning your problem

I know I have already bored the pants off most readers and they have clicked away, this is good for me and you, and anyone who really tries to get their minds around this. I am thinking, I am dwelling, and I am musing that
“Travel is graded on a curve.”

I truly believe that grading on a curve is fair in life, to not have a certain percentage of people fail is against all rules of nature; survival of the fittest is what insures the survival of man.

Travel is graded on a curve means to me that many will succeed and others will fail, and even better yet, this idea of not knowing a negative will be fully in force. The ones that fail will not know they failed, because they do not know success, they do not know how lousy they did because for them it was normal.

I am getting bored with explaining this and truly there is no reason to continue for me to explain, what I need is, what does exist yet. I need to know the proper words that do not exist in my brain. When I do happen upon them, I will maybe tell people what I mean here.

Moreover, since I do not know the words to explain this yet, I cannot explain this yet, one day I will know the proper combination to explain what I do not know how to explain. However, for today, close to correct is Travel is grade on a curve and I cannot know a negative.

Philippines Street Children

Philippines Street Children
I took these photos of street children just as something to do while on an early morning walk in December of 2005.
Street Children

I am going to take some more soon while I am in Manila…

I do not think about Street Children much; more or less view them as I pass them, however, there are a few thougts that intrigue me.

Why do people who work with Street Children need photos? I would think they already should have them.

Is there a real obstacle to finding these types of photos?

Amazingly, in Manila the last couple of days, I have seen a couple of babies lying on the sidewalks, and worst situations than I photographed before. I am going to take many photos and probably some videos. This is an extremely easy type of photos to take in the early morning because they are sleeping and so is the rest of the city.
It will be interesting to see how the photos are if I am trying.

6 Positive to 1 Negatives

6 Positive to 1 Negatives
Divorce is when a person says six negative to one positive. It is easy to say be positive, however to give specific numbers is great. I am a very slow learner on this, however I now know that about 90 percent of negative comments do not change anything.

A couple of things I learned on the way.

A smile will break a person in two pieces, the good and the bad, I then try to pick up the good piece.

The plastic bag the store give me is polluting the planet, I can just say no about 9 in 10 times if not more.

When I open my mouth to refute or disagree, 90 percent of the time it is not helpful or constructive.

People do not know how to click off something they are not interest in, then continue to read until angry.

Philippine people like to Sing Christmas Carol in the Robinson Mall Super Market in Manila, Philippines.

People can marry for a lifetime, my parents are proof, they make me proud.
