Indiana Reinstalls Andy’s Smile
I believe it is possible for travel to remove the smile from my face and make me jaded.

They blame this quote on Kurt Vonnegut, however Mary Schmich wrote,

“Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard.
Live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft. Travel.”

Travel Journal --- What is your travel problem?
I will write a Travel Tips with the solution

I was out last night with my friend Scott; I caught myself laughing and said to myself.
“Great, I found my smile.”

In Guatemala the locals say hello easily, however in Peru the people were hard. Contrary to any misguided advice you hear, it is impossible to ignore the people in our lives. After a month in Peru my smile was slowly being removed and I needed some maintenance work done on my face.

I am sitting right now in the Coachlight Coffee House in Angola, Indiana and about 50-70 percent of the folks who enter say hello. I truly was a lucky sperm to be born in this city and raised in the small town of Orland. The world can give me a good beating, it can make me jaded and mistrusting, however I can always return to Indiana and know is possible to trust people again.

Sometime we need to install the smile on our face, who was it Peter Pan who needed to find his happy thought so he could fly again.

Sometimes we need to remove the emotional vampires from our lives by driving a smile through their chest. Amazing people here in Indiana, USA, all I have to do is look at people and they smile, this is truly a strange place on the planet.
