My Women from Tokyo I just paid and purchased a ticket to Taiwan, then to Korea then to JAPAN, I am NOT going to Tokyo.
I am not going to Tokyo… I am not going to Tokyo… I will go to Fukuoka in the South.
However, there is an old song from an old rock group called Deep Purple that is blaring in my head. “My Women from Tokyo”
Someone needs to tell me, I am sure I know, but someone needs to tell me, someone please tell me going to Tokyo because of this song just does not make sense.
A Song of my life, a song from age 18 should have nothing to do with me today, I know, but I can still hear the words, “My Women from Tokyo”
My Women from Tokyo
Fly into the rising sun, Faces, smiling everyone Yeah, she is a whole new tradition I feel it in my heart
My woman from tokyo She makes me see My woman from tokyo Shes so good to me
Talk about her like a queen Dancing in a eastern dream Yeah, she makes me feel like a river That carries me away
My woman from tokyo She makes me see My woman from tokyo Shes so good to me
But Im at home and I just dont belong ...
So far away from the garden we love She is what moves in the soul of a dove Soon I shall see just how black was my night When were alone in her city of light
Rising from the neon gloom Shining like a crazy moon Yeah, she turns me on like a fire I get high
My woman from tokyo She makes me see My woman from tokyo Shes so good to me
Hmm, I can understand the words, and there is a melody.
