Why I Love the Internet
This started out as an email to my friend trying to help him focus.
Hello,
I read you email about what is wrong with making WebPages for people.
It hit me how much you do not like this as you listed many reasons
to not make pages for people.
I want you to be happy, and sometimes I think your logic gets in the
way of your fun.
For example: Are you sure you want to make a local portal?
Or do you see a need for this.
One is the need from an Entrepreneur point of view
and the other is the day to day work that is needed to make this work.
You must love what you are making.
I like to travel and I like to explain about travel.
But I also like to study about internet marketing, I consider the game fun.
I have 150 Categories on my page. I often go off on a tangent and work on any I
wish.
I have one called TRAVEL WEBMASTER
and I often make pages on marketing.

BUT REALLY
I DO NOT CARE
I just make a page on anything I wish and connect it to my site somewhere.
But I am traveling so mostly it is about travel.
But remember you telling me about the Amish and me writing about the Myth of
Family.
Not really about travel!
You have had lots of domain names and lots of ideas.
TAKE ALL of them and put under one domain and make one huge page
if you still have them.
You will have enough searchable content to start making money.
To use google.com/adsense you need one simple site and to apply,
then you can put the code into any page.
THE REASON I LOVE THE INTERNET
In fact I can make this into a page, so I WILL!
We was talking about making a mirror of my site the other day so
I make a page about that also.

But WHY I LOVE THE INTERNET?
Because I can make a page about anything and I know there is a person on the
planet
that would love to read the page, it will be important to one of the 6 billion
plus residents
of the planet. Now I just said 6 billions and I could go make a page about the
information
on how many people are on the planet, I could go do the research and make the
page.
THIS IS THE POINT
I make pages on what I am interested in.
IT IS PROBABILITY
If I have enough pages, I will have enough visitors to make money.
I do find myself more or less staying on two or three subjects that I obsess on,
but I could be obsessing on any hobby I have or any idea I have and talk.
So after 8 year of collecting information on travel I have a few thousand pages.
But a lot of the page are mass produced.
Like Embassies of the world.

It is interactive so I can collect content and give people a place to discuss.
I have tied it together with navigation.
So I have accomplished my work for the morning. I made a page or two.
I do some research, put together some thoughts and write.
The blog I have is ridiculously easy, nothing but me making opinions.
But you have a lot of great opinions.
I make pages for me and share them with the world.
