Webmaster Checklist of Things to do when changing Hosting

BACKUP OR COPY FIRST

1. Set up secret password for Administration Ability with Hosting company.
    
2. Passwords: Change and put into administration mode only.
    
3. Email:
   A. Auto-responders copy page
   Copy text inside autoresponders.
   B. Email Accounts copy cpanel page and redo
   C. Forwards copy page and redo.
   D. Make boxes of all address.
   E. Set size of all boxes.
   F. Set Catch all
    
4. PHP
   A. Backpack Database.
   B. Passwords and user names of Databases need to be migrated.
   C. New Names of databases need connected.
   D. Permissions need to be change, it may be read only. This was a problem.
   E. Need names of all databases.
    
5. BLOGS
   A. Set up new paths to blogger.com
   B. Need FTP permissions for all bloggers.
    
6. FTP
   A. Need copy of all configurations.
    
7. SSI - I think this means Server Side: This need configured correctly by host.
    
8. htaccess pages need counted:
   Presently:
   1. Members - admin
   2. Ban
   3. Members - General Entrance
    

   TIMEOUTS - Have the news hosting set to stay connected when publishing for 15 minutes. This will help me make alterations inside internet cafe.
