I feel as if the first rule of travel is that a plan that is made is made to be broken.
A travelers path is never straight and it seldom goes to where you think it will. There is nothing wrong with changing plans when on the road, this is a normal part of traveling. If the Path goes north, go north. If it turns east, turn east.
