Thailand Fuzzy Fruit
Fuzzy fruit, it is always a colorful treat to walk through the food market in Thailand; you never know why the market is located where it is located

  • Mamon Chino is the Spanish name for that redhaired fuzzy fruit I was eating in Panama. You actually suck on the seed inside and eventually spit it out and discard the rest of the plant. Actually tastes pretty good, though an acquired taste. A little like chewing gum or something - other people are leaving trails of those strawberry looking things strewn across your path.

  • the one on the Right is Rambutan, thats the red hairy looking thing. it tastes ok but I would never buy it, it has just a little pulp around its seed, ok if its free or plucked from a tree. 5 seconds and spit the seed

the ones on the left are pink with short green leaves, thats the dragon fruit, also called pitaya, its a type of cactus fruit. never tried it
They grow on Cactus like trees

  • The Rambutan is one of my favourite fruits and it is something that I will go to long lengths to have but at a good price and size of the fruit.

I can agree that it is a fruit that can be eaten in 5 seconds but it is the taste and the texture that you are looking for. Especially in Thailand, the Rambutan hare enormous in size, you would be very please with such sweetness
