When living in a Hotel room there is a temptation to throw our trash on the floor and never clean. Why would I clean the room, I am leaving tomorrow?

I am not good at picking up after myself, I tend to throw newspapers and extra shopping bag down, not into a trash can.

However, on when I am packing, I pick up all the trash and throw in the trash can.

Why? Important gear can be hidden under within the papers, trash and other type of refuse in the room. I clean a room as I am leaving, picking up all the loose items and check them.
