At first glance I thought grain silos but they have doors and windows. Dormitory housing for soldiers or students? Alan

The top picture looks like grain bins that we stored wheat in when I was a kid, on the farm in Canada. There was a 2 foot steel mesh pipe, that ran from the bottom to the top peak, for ventalation. The other picture looks like the Kenyas have take the technology and used it to build houses. Might be hot but certainly would be weather, bug, and rodent proof.

Chicken Coops, I thought they was Chicken Coops, however I know you are correct, these are houses for families of police or something like that.

I was making a joke with my Parents, this is the same type of building my Grandfather used for a chicken coop on his farm.
