Hollered at Guatemala Taxi Man

I sent a Taxi to the Guatemala City Airport to pick up a friend, when he arrived home there was two foreigners in the Taxi and my friend was in back looking uncomfortable. I was angry, it was obvious to me, my friends Private Taxi had become an example of Guatemalan or Latino abuse.



I do not allow resentments to pester me, it is a monkey on my back, a luxury an Alcoholic in remission cannot have to remain sane. (I do not mind if you are insane.)

I went directly to the Taxi person, and told him he was jumping two fare, abusing my friend, and my personal friendship, I know the man very well, but know this is to be expected from the Latino Culture, they live in a world of take from the table fast…. I needed to get it off my chest, I truly do not care about the Taxi guy, and I just need to stop this re-feeling of the situation.



Many a tourist will say,
"They are so poor; I allow them to cheat me."

I say,
"If a person is equal, then treat them as equals, or do you like that feeling of superiority?"

Allowing people to cheat you is putting a nail in your emotional coffin, when I allow a person to cheat me, it creates a festering wound, an infection, a resentment that can after time force me to return to my cave, called the USA, whereby I must stop looking at beauty and only have a cloistered existence.

Many tourist need to return home, they do not know why, the reason is simple; to stop the abuse, then again, they also allow it at work, what is new.
