I do not like to make money, I want money given to me, since nobody ever feels compelled to give me money, and I must work. Selling gear is truly a nightmare for me, my gear changes and links or pages become old and out of date.

I sometimes feel guilty, mainly for not having all the security gear available for readers to buy. I cannot stop you from buying the stupid gear like Camel Back Bags with water tubes, but I am negligent when I do not try my best to keep you safe.

I want to sell needed, what I recommend, and hard to find gear. Amazon.com does not have all of this, but it does have the majority. I made a page today.

Robert P pointed me at this great cup that goes over the handle of a door and stops the cleaning lady from entering and stealing my computer. I found it in Thailand after some search, a company called Solo makes it, I would love to sell this on my Amazon.com store, but gong, and I cannot find it.

Thanks Rob, truly a great travel gear device.

Great, here is some great gear, and the bottom line you cannot buy it unless you go to Thailand, that is expensive gear.

What I sometimes dream about is finding people who want to find this hard to buy gear and will allow me to super promote it, they can put it up on Amazon.com and I will put in my new store.

There are many products that need manufactured, like my backpack design, my secret pockets and my backpack organizer.

Truly frustrating to think, I do understand why I drank in the past and became and alcoholic, I wanted to stop the computer. I now know the brain will run, I do not need to care if I do not complete a project or idea. The joy of the trip is the journey, not arriving.

Note, I can feel the smile returning to my face, Thank you Philippines, life is good, if not GREAT. Note, I have been living with myself sober for 22 years, you think I drive you crazy, think how I drive myself crazy.

Andy returns with baling twine and practicality.

Since you're solo, how do you deal with doors that have no deadbolts or latches when you put down for the night? I'm wondering if there is other security measures besides objects balanced against the door, and door stoppers, to keep myself and belongings from disappearing?

I have employed an electronic 90dB alarm that I picked up at a "ha-ku yen" (100yen =1.12USD) store in Japan. I have been surprised, and woke up the guesthouse when a worker tried to "clean up" at 2 or 3 a.m. in Indonesia.

You mentioned this Solo door knob product before, and the inability to locate it. Any way you could manufacture more? With an added feature to accomodate both door handles and knobs, while still covering the door lock face? This seems like it could be a homerun product for lots of travellers, residents at home, dorms, the office worker, or anyone else who has to deal with thieves and Noisy Parkers with a key. Never seen one in Mexico, IN, or the country , nor the five continents I've been to. Seems like a great gadget.

Good to see the utilities of travel again.

I 'discovered' these door knob cup covers myself here in Bangkok in June, and couldn't believe I haven't been traveling from the start. Tried an Internet search to find some additional photo examples to show others w/o need of e-mailing photos, but just can't seem to find any. Amazing that I haven't seen them for sale elsewhere in the globe (or maybe just never noticed them). Invaluable.
