I've been living in Hong Kong for a month now with hundreds of exchange students. Many of us have now been to macau and we have found the locas there exactly the same as the locals here: incredibly friendly and willing to help and most of them speak far better english than we can cantonese.
I think its worth bearing in mind how much of their language YOU can speak- you are in their country after all.

the funny thing about this page is. if someone wants to click on submit a comment. he will mostly endup clicking the donate button. Again one of those glorious guilt trips may not have paid for. so be conscious enough to just do the math and submit.
