I had a similar thing happen to me when I tried to buy some tickets online from Ticketmaster. I kept getting a screen that had some ambiguous message where I couldn’t tell if my order was accepted or not. I tried to re-order about 5 times before I finally gave up. I called my credit card company and sure enough there were 5 charges for the same tickets, so I had them taken off my bill. I ended up going to a ticket outlet to buy them. It definitely pays to be patient and to double check if you are not sure if your order was transmitted and accepted.
