The way you look at Estonia is kinda childish. Or like you're exploring the animal kingdom. I've noticed this sort of attitude among other travelers from the states before.
Do you really think that Estonians are so primitive that they can't do much besides factory work and farming?
Estonia has a strong IT sector and many people use the Internet (available almost everywhere) to work at home.
Many landowners choose to use their acres to grow forest instead of crop. Wood is one of the main industries in here.
These are just two possibilities.
