you just put the green tea leaves in the bottom, and drink through the filter to stop the tea leaves getting in your mouth. I had one when i was in china, great way to save money on bottled water, as you can all ways get free boiled water at hotels and restaurants, just put it straight into your bottle, let it cool down and you have a free safe drink.
