there are places where american products are worth double. former USSR countries for example. i see many things in Ukraine. but you have to find a way to sneak them in. governments know what the prices are for most goods and they charge accordingly at the border.

Sometimes you dont even have to pay a cover charge... just buy lunch or some snacks and they will usually let you hang out at the pool all afternoon. This works well in the Philippines.
So it might end up being the same cost as a cover charge, but you get a meal (or drinks for you and a girl) thrown into the deal.
Cheers!

The best idea is the 25-year-old girlfriend. Although watch out for older western women giving you "that pervert" type looks. LOL
That said, beach areas are great for fitness. Running on wet sand (surf area) is easier on the knees, walking in the soft sand (above the surf) is tough and really makes you huff and puff. And then there's swimming which is a great exercise for older bodies (less impact).
You need to get your heart rate up to your 85-of-max a few minutes a day. That means about 20-30 min total of exercise as you build up to your 85-of-max (stay at that level for 5 min)and cool down from it.
Go get a executive health check at Bumrungrad Hospital in BKK (Soi NaNa) (Cebu, Philippines has Cebu Doctors’ University Hospital which is also good) to get a baseline status (and they'll do a stress test to determine your 85-of-max heart rate) and then go out and find that 25-year-old! :-)

Don't worry...those volcanoes aren't showing any signs of erupting any time in the near future. If you want more info though...go to San Pedro and ask for an English guy that lives there called Matt Purvis. He will fill you in.

No, Matt lives in San Pedro and knows about these things. There are volcano warning systems for all of the currently active volcanoes in Gautemala.
Just because you aren't warned doesn't mean there isn't a system in place. If you were in danger (that couldn't be avoided by being sensible) then you would know about it.
