A person shouldnt take any of this too serious. So, we all want to be chiefs and not indians. That is just ambition, human nature. Most of us are stuck being indians, but we should all aspire to become chiefs, to become greater than we are today. That is a good thing. A person learns about the world in a great many ways. Some things Ive learned by traveling, others from school, others from books and conversation. Hell, Ive even learned a few things from this blog. I cant imagine one form of learning is inherently better than another. I would only be stroking my ego if I pretended that the way Ive learned is best. Finally, would anyone really like it if others just rolled over and conceded that they dont know anything? I enjoy a good argument or debate as long as its civil in tone.

No wonder you were in a hurry to leave africa. Khao San road was waiting. Myself I think I would take a bus load of smelly africans to that circus. Have fun and be safe Musungo.

I dont believe blacks are better at language than whites. Not that the idea offends me, just that I think it is wrong. Travel some day to the Caucuses. I took a trip there a few years back. There are nearly 50 languages in a relatively small area. And most people can speak at least a half dozen languages (Russian, Turkic, Azeri, Georgian, Armenian, Osset, etc.) I think the ability to speak many languages is a result of having been raised in a tribal multi-linguic locale where they were exposed to many languages from birth. This is true of black africans and white Caucasians (and whites from the balkan region as well). Americans both white and black are bad at languages because they arent exposed to different languages growing up, same is true for the koreans. But its an interesting post either way.

Yeah Bob, not much I can disagree with in your comment. Andys post was a good observation and seemed insightful. His manner is a little rough for my tastes, but Ive long since learned either to accept it or find a new blog to read. Because he is a shrewd observer of life and custom Ive chosen to look beyond his style and try to focus on the content. Andys site has the ability to generate strong reactions, I was only trying to get Wade to reconsider the comment not actually defend moimois position.

Wade, my reading of moi mois comment is different than yours. The vulnerable population as I read it was the mentally ill who become ostracized from society and end up bums. If your reading is right and the assertion is that all africans are vulnerable that is indeed degrading. But if my reading is accurate and she(he) was referring to the mentally ill, then that would be a vulnerable population and andys treatment was perhaps a little too harsh. Additionally I dont get the fixation with africa. There are bums all around the world. Travel to any city and you will see bums. There is no need to visit africa if one wishes to understand the menally ill/marginalized/bums. Finally, glad to see your still around.

Andy, I honestly dont understand. What is the bad form on the part of Manchester Uniteds owner? He paid for a trip to Mecca. Seems to be of no consequence.
