There are hotels that "do it right," and you can find them in the most unlikely places.
I stayed at the Hotel Del Rey in Foz do Iguazu, Brazil. I, too, had a night bus and needed to check out at about 11 AM.
Not only did this very nice hotel offer to store my bag safely all day, but they told me, "Before you go on the bus, if you want to take a shower, let us know and you can do that."
Their breakfast was not only an all-you-can-eat buffet, but there were many tasty choices.
In the lobby, they had a posting of their room rates. When I referred to it, the woman at the desk told me that they didn't go by that. The real rate was not DOUBLE the one posted, but HALF!!! What a nice surprise.
Sad that there are not more hotels that get it about the needs of travelers, but when one does, it's a beautiful thing.

There is something in the photo that is more disturbing to me than the sex of the person carrying all those bottles.
Think about this: whether the person is a male or a female, it will have no environmental impact, either plus or minus, to the state of the world. What is making a difference is ALL THOSE PLASTIC BOTTLES.
If you want to get indignant about anything, get yourself stirred up about all the plastic bottles that are being trashed, burned, or sent out into the ocean to choke sea life.
That's just my two baht worth.
