this is such a crock of BS!! im a westerner living in Vietnam, and while I do find many Vietnamese to be vague and evasive at times, they are in no way a bunch of liars as you would insinuate. Having lived here for almost a year and traveling around the Philippines, Thailand and Cambodia I would like to go on record as wholly disputing this article. saving face manifests itself in many different ways, but there is also the concept of running a good business. It is not good business to lie to the customer, and Asian people are not stupid, they know this.
